WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Works released the following statement regarding the Supreme Court’s decision in Trump v. the United States, which preserves the Office of the President and the rule of law from Biden’s lawfare schemes.
“Today’s historic Supreme Court decision is a resounding victory for the American people and the United States Constitution. There’s been no greater threat to democracy than the Biden Justice Department’s weaponization of government against political opponents. The attempts to imprison President Trump and take away immunity for his official acts in office was their most dangerous scheme yet. If former presidents can be charged under the same precedent, then it would be open season on not just past administrations but future ones as well. Simply put, without presidential immunity, there would be no presidency.”
