WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Works endorsed the Protecting Taxpayers’ Wallets Act, which saves Americans over $2 Billion charging federal labor organizations for their use of federal government resources:
“Every dollar you earn matters, and you should expect the government to be careful with how they spend the money they take from your paycheck. Allowing federal labor organizations to use taxpayer funds for their own purposes doesn’t cut it. But that’s what our government is allowing right now. The Protecting Taxpayers’ Wallets Act changes that. Congress should pass this critical legislation to save taxpayers billions. If federal labor unions want to use agency resources, they must pay for it, just as everyday Americans pay for services they use.
