AFW Endorses President Trump’s Tariff Protections

February 3rd, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Works (AFW) released the following statement fully supporting President Donald J. Trump’s tariff policies:

“America First Works proudly endorses President Trump’s tariff policies to protect American interests, bolster our economy, and prioritize the welfare of American families and workers. These tariffs are not simply economic measures but a bold defense of our national sovereignty and safety and a commitment to putting Americans first.

It’s clear that President Trump’s tariffs are already working, with Mexico agreeing to come to the negotiation table in less than 48 hours. This is what we saw during his first administration, in which tariffs led to a significant boom in American industry. Global corporations will respond again by investing in American manufacturing, bringing jobs and economic prosperity back to the United States.

From intellectual property theft costing our economy hundreds of billions of dollars annually to the flow of illicit fentanyl into our country, it’s time for our adversaries like China to feel the consequences of their decisions. Further, neighboring countries like Canada should also be held accountable for allowing this deadly drug into North America.

America First Works stands firmly behind President Trump’s tariff policies as a cornerstone of our mission to prioritize the American people. We call on all Americans to support these tariffs as a necessary step toward a more prosperous and secure future for our Nation.”
