WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Works (AFW) released the following statement urging Congress to pass the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would require proof of American citizenship when voting in U.S. elections:
“Only Americans should vote in American elections. It’s common sense and critical to preserving our Republic. When noncitizens vote, they silence American voices. With millions of illegal immigrants pouring in under the last administration, the threat is real. President Trump has acted—issuing an executive order to require proof of citizenship to vote. Now Congress must do its job. Pass the SAVE Act. Protect our elections. Make voting fair for the American people.”
