WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Works (AFW) applauds the House of Representatives for passing President Donald J. Trump’s first rescissions package, which will save taxpayers more than $9 billion:
“The House just took a giant first step toward reining in Washington’s out-of-control spending with the passage of President Trump’s rescissions cuts. Taxpayers should not be on the hook to fund biased outlets such as NPR and PBS. Nor should their money be wasted on woke foreign aid like the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, which has turned into a leftwing slush fund for radical programs, such as transgender clinics in prisons. Today’s common-sense cuts are exactly what Americans voted for. The Senate should follow suit and send this package to President Trump’s desk immediately.”
