WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Works (AFW) called for Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell to resign immediately for his mismanagement of the Fed.
“Jerome Powell’s refusal to adjust monetary policy to reflect the realities faced by everyday Americans is unacceptable. High interest rates are suffocating families who are already stretched thin after years of the Biden-Harris Administration’s economic failures. Powell had no problem dropping rates under the previous Administration right before an election. There is no excuse not to do so now with inflation much lower today. It’s time for leadership at the Federal Reserve that puts America’s workers and families first.”
