Communications Assistant Job Description:

  • Work closely with the Communications Team to develop, implement, and monitor effective content across various digital platforms.
  • Assist with drafting and sending press releases, statements, and op-eds for the team, while maintaining our content on the website.
  • Create social media content, which includes clipping media hits and drafting relevant posts for the team.
  • Organize and keep track of the Team’s media hits by date, ensuring all important documents, communications, and activities are recorded and easily accessible.
  • Track and flag breaking news relevant for the organization and advocacy work.
  • Conduct research on policies and current state of affairs that fall in our advocacy lane and keep the team up-to-date on opportunities to weigh in on.
